Butterfly Cake Smash Session | Camilla
Camilla's butterfly cake smash session was sweet as pie - or, well. . . cake!
This little girl was sweet as can be. She wasn’t super fond of giving the camera smiles, but nevertheless she looked naturally adorable. Her mom wanted to create a cute, fun cloud butterfly theme, so we did just that.
Couture Cupcakery (@couturecupcakery on Instagram), the Long Beach cake artist that I work with on all of my cake smash sessions, created a beautiful, simple white cake for Camilla. She accented it with light pink and cream-colored strokes, and we decorated it with even more little butterflies. Those butterflies were actually butterflies I had that were meant for scrapbooking - creating a beautiful cake setup doesn’t have to take a bunch of complicated materials!
Camilla loved the cake, as you can see below - she looked like a little fairy princess in her crown and pink tutu, all while stuffing the yummy dessert in her mouth. She knew that cake was meant for her!
I bought butterflies from Amazon to decorate the setup - you can find similar ones here.
The cotton at the bottom of the butterfly wall was from Hobby Lobby, but you can get your own at any craft store.
Cake smash sessions are so fun because you can really do anything with them. You can choose whatever theme you’re dreaming and envisioning, and I’ll help you make it come to life with the help of Couture Cupcakery (and inspiration from Pinterest!). And they don’t have to be super complicated or intricate if you don’t want them to be. As you can see, Camilla’s was super simple and it turned out beautifully!
