Every December, I host one of my most loved and most requested mini sessions of the year — Cookies & Milk (Bath) Mini Sessions. And year after year, these sessions continue to be a favorite for families with babies and young kids.
This holiday setup has officially become a tradition in my studio, and it’s easy to see why. It’s timeless, playful, festive, and full of genuine childhood magic.
A Holiday Photo Session Designed for Kids of All Ages
While the milk bath portion of these sessions is designed specifically for babies who can sit independently (typically around 6–12 months), the Cookies & Milk theme itself is perfect for kids of all ages.
Some families dress their little ones in cozy holiday pajamas, others opt for classic neutrals or festive outfits — and every single session feels completely unique. Seeing how each family makes the setup their own is one of my favorite parts of this experience.
This year, I even had a sweet little one who wasn’t quite sitting independently yet — and we still made it work beautifully. With a few thoughtful adjustments, they were able to safely participate and be part of the milk bath magic. These sessions are always approached with flexibility, safety, and comfort as the top priorities.
Inclusive Holiday Styling: Christmas & Hanukkah
One of the things I loved most about this year’s sessions was being able to incorporate both Christmas and Hanukkah elements into the setup.
This theme was designed to feel festive without being limiting. By keeping the color palette neutral and the styling intentional, families celebrating different traditions were able to enjoy a session that felt meaningful and inclusive.

A milk bath photo session is a soft, whimsical style of photography where babies sit in a shallow tub filled with warm water and cornstarch (so its allergen free), often accented with cookies, greenery, or subtle holiday details.
