Ansel: Our New Mini Bernedoodle

March 28, 2021: the day we gained a new member of the family, Ansel! Our “gotcha day.”

The Road Trip to Ansel

Our family headed off on a road trip from Seal Beach to Ogden, Utah in March to get our new pup. Leena could not have been more excited - well, none of us could!

On the way, we stopped overnight in St. George, Utah, and then continued north. We made it to our destination in Ogden, just north of Salt Lake City, on the journey to pick up Ansel from Eden Mini Bernedoodles. Before retrieving our new pup, we made a stop at Twisted Sugar for some yummy cookies that I wish I’d taken photos of!

After finally picking up Ansel, we did some exploring around Ogden and Layton. We even dined inside an actual restaurant for the first time since the pandemic - crazy that it’s been so dang long! Ansel slept the entire way through lunch, and then slept most of the road trip home! (Except when he was tearing through all of his new toys)

On the way home we stopped back in St. George and stayed downtown at a Marriott with the most beautiful red rock view & a jacuzzi on the roof. Everybody who’s seen Ansel has just loved him and thinks he was the cutest thing and so unique looking - we love him so much!
